Ain't Dat Purty?!

So I bought this wally wurl lamp a cupla weeks back. I don't know if it was the Chinese wicks or what, but it did not perform well with cooking oil like other lamps I have.

So lamp oil is highly refined kerosene. Kerosene is just No. 1 diesel.
So i went get some No 2, dyed, red farm diesel out of the tank.

Works great! And purty Too!

Both ethanol and non-ethanol gasoline come in 3 grades.

87octane- 89 Octane- and 93 octane
Reg-mid-and premium

The little station down the road has a booming boat/ boat launch business. They just put new pumps in.

They offer only 87 octane/ 10% ethanol gasoline only

The other choice is non-ethanol gasoline in ALL 3 GRADES. I haven't seen that in decades. But non-ethanol, premium is pricy. The highest of them all. But if you know what I know, you'll never buy ethanol gasoline again.

You especially don't want to use it in outboard motors.

we won't put ethanol in our cars. I'll have to ask son what he puts in his boat.
