School goes from worst to first...uses unique teaching model to improve academics

okay...i watched the video and i'm not convinced yet. Yes, it is hard for kids to sit still all day long but i'd like to see the results of this kind of teaching for the year.

Can't say I'm a convert and since when were little kids locked in classrooms for over 7 hours a day anyway? Learning is usually interspersed with music, dance, play etc anyway isn't it?

Like you ladies, I'm the 'jury's still out' column.  Yes, we've a major education problem here in the states.
However, there were 52 students in my class.  We were expected to behave, and did.  We learned.  
There was a morning lavatory break; going down the hall in 2 single files - boys & girls.  QUIETLY.  
There was lunch around 11:30.  We ate at our desks, then went out to play for about 1/2 an hour.  
The structure taught self-discipline.  How are these students to learn that?

In the same token - we NEED to drop this Dummying Down, and if this helps, maybe it's worth it.

(Seems I'm using that 'Don't know' emoji and awful lot lately. lol)
