Then. Over the next 24 hours this happens.
Paypal loses thousands of accounts. Suddenly....this pops up.
I think the confusion came about when PayPal folk thought they were going to be able to get away with this and then that didn't happen.
Get Woke, Go Broke.
I hear a lot of those lost accounts have no intention of coming back.

Paypal is an online payment system so I don't even understand how they could fine their users period. It's not a social media platform where people make comments.
Were they going to stalk their users across every corner of the web? That would be impossible.

I don't understand how they have any authority to fine customers, either.
At least for things not related to finance.

Sounds like fake news, Private companies cant enforce fines, and if they did, peeps would stop using their service , I dont know of anyone over here that uses paypal ,its a bit yesterday , we have a very high tech banking system in NZ , Cheques haven't been used here for a few years now

It would be like you hiring a car , they have a GPS and you exceed the speed limit and they give you a fine, Just aint gonna happen, there's not the legal frame work for them to do so

Many people have connected their paypal to twitter accounts. Unwittingly....i mean..they knowingly did it but without knowing the potential consequences of doing so.
https://lifehacker.com/why-you-shouldnt-use-paypal-to-send-twitter-tips-1846845131
THAT is how they were going to do it.

It's not fake news.
When you see liberal slanted Wikipedia includes it , and doesn't ban it immediately, it's true.
