I had a boxer who died from seizures. I not sure if they are related, but they were painful for him. I could see it in his eyes.

Re: how painful
i think mine is afraid i will kill her. last thing im gonna do. her seizers used to be like a convolsion for maybe 45 seconds. i just found out the person who was watching her sunday prolly kicked her in the front shoulder. so her crying is two fold. she wanted to take a walk around the block today, which we did. it surprised me. are you sure Crusader that your dog wasnt asking you to not put her down? i think mine is asking me NOT to. so that option is out.Crusader wrote:jirqoadai wrote:are strokes for dogs?

I don't know what he was asking me. He died about 10 days after the first seizure. Boxers are prone to tumors in their old age and the vet suspected a brain tumor. I didn't have the money to find out and he was already dead, so that's what I went with.
Rowdy was still catching rabbits after 9 years of age. He died pretty suddenly at 9 1/2.

mine as of last saturday still had a very lively gate while going for a walk......at age 19+. im sorry for your loss. active dogs who participate in human lives seem to grow on the owners more and more as the years progress.

Sorry for your loss, Crusader. I think losing a dog is one of the most painful life events that one can face.
