This is one of the reasons the postal service (USPS) costs taxpayers billions of dollars a year. You can't fire even the most retarded, racist, postal worker once they pay their first union dues as helpers.

Years ago I had a friend who pulled her mail truck off the shoulder in traffic after walking the neighborhood. Caused the car behind her to swerve into oncoming traffic, head on . Lady in the car was killed. The man in the truck on the opposite side of traffic wasn't hurt too bad.

She never lost her job and got a light reprimand. Matter of fact, I passed through town just the other day and she was still delivering mail. And she's older than me!
