China is ramping up to invade Taiwan, possibly using drones exclusively. Meanwhile, Taiwan is ramping up civilian small arms training, and Japan and Britain are talking about co-developing a new fighter jet.

Chi-com invasion appears set for not later than 2027.

you might wanna follow the Spratly Islands alittle bit more closely. i predict red china will take taiwans Spratly holdings at least a year before they even contemplate attacking formosa.

TAIPEI (Reuters) - It is wrong to label Taiwan's main opposition party the Kuomintang (KMT) as being pro-China as it has always been pro-U.S. and is dedicated to defending the island though also to talking to Beijing, its chairman said in Washington.

Among the Taiwanese, both sides of Taiwan's national independence issue, which has been on the table for years, agree that it isn't for chi-coms to decide but the people of Taiwan, and distrust of the outcome is why both sides are militarily showing their teeth.

Speaking late Monday Taipei time at the Brookings Institution during a visit to Washington, KMT Chairman Eric Chu decried those who call them pro-China.

"We are mislabelled by some people, some media says we are a pro-China party - it's totally wrong. We are a pro-U.S. party, forever," he said, speaking in English.

Taiwan needs to have strong defences, added Chu, who assumed his current role in September on a promise to revitalise party fortunes.

"If you want peace, you have to prepare for war. Self-defence is the number one for peace and stability."

This is the first attempt at clarification I've seen in months, but I suspect that most if not all of whatever Xi Ping says probably means nothing to him or his cadre of chi-coms.

Only the barrel of the gun speaks.

Reuniting Taiwan with mainland China has been known for decades. The present issue is largely due to China's aggressive posture in the South China sea.

Taiwan's Foreign Minister predicts when China will attack.

China is assembling a coalition of "rogue" states to up-end the world order, according to Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu.

Mr Wu told Sky News Australia that China’s efforts threaten the future of all democracies.

Mr Wu also revealed when he thinks Beijing will attack Taiwan.

While some analysts have predicted war within the next two years, the Foreign Minister told Sky News he believes 2027 is the year China may strike.

It’s when Chinese military officials said their forces will be strong enough to successfully invade and when President Xi Jinping starts his fourth term.

i dont believe mainland china will militarily attack anyone now. they are attempting to increase trade with the west. not stifle it. their economy depends on increasing trade. therefore their future hinges upon it too.

China is poised to destroy Taiwan and every other country in the region, whether they like it or not, and I don't think any of them are agreeable to Chinese accupation. As we know about Tibet and other SE Asia countries and in that part of the world, it is condemned.

Nobody likes China. It is way out of bounds.

i posted this. mainland china WILL increase its bases BEFORE taking on Taiwan. and ive posted THIS BEFORE TOO. Taiwan WILL destroy 600 sattiites within 72 hours IF mailand EVER makes a move on Taiwan.
