New law protects docs who prescribe ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine State's licensing boards can no longer punish physicians for treatments
Reacting to the suppression of certain "controversial" treatments for COVID-19, Missouri passed a law that bans pharmacists from questioning doctors who prescribe ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine for their patients.
The measure passed the Missouri House by a 130-4 vote last week and now is at the desk of Republican Gov. Mike Parsons, the Kansas City Star reported.
The bill, the paper said, would bar state medical licensing boards from punishing or removing the medical licenses of doctors who "lawfully" prescribe the two drugs.

I so LOVE how this is put:
BAM! :thumbsup2:"Our doctors, as well as their patients, need to know that doctors have the right to make important medical decisions, as long as they have the informed consent of their patients," Wilson said at the time.

This is all pretending that the patient is allowed informed consent. That he is given facts (not propaganda). That he is ALLOWED to decide (and not be essentially kidnapped, denied outside contact, given Remdesivir until his kidneys quit, and get put on a ventilator until he drowns of his own fluids.
Today's "physicians" are technicians, taking instruction from their paymaster - hospitalists (paid hugely by the government) and themselves, threatened with punishment if they don't comply with government "protocols." Which are immutable.
This is a second-order effect of that thousand-page ACA bill. Medicine as we knew it ten years ago, is GONE.
Meaningful care, not colored by politics...GONE.
Concern for the patient...GONE.
