Jazz was always mentally ill.

Got it from his mama. I can't imagine the mess that is in his crotch area. THAT may be the cause of his depression. I still say...this kid may end up dead by his own hand in the next 10 to 15 years.

From what I understand the weight gain happened before the surgery because the doctor refused to operate unless a lot of the weight was lost.

The kid definitely has mental health issues but from what I've read he/she was 18 before the first surgery was done. That's gotta be better than 11 right?

There needs to be more done in the area of mental health because many do have suicidal and/or violent tendencies, like teen shooters, but what? On that I have no clue.

The only thing I do know is that 'normalizing' these issues certainly won't help them nor will it help anyone else.

Sorry to say, no Red. I watched it. He didn't gain weight until months after surgery. He started the hormone blockers early before puberty so that means he had a very small penis...which means very little tissue to work with so they had to take colon tissue to make the vagina which means some obvious problems if you get my drift. He had to go back in for more reconstructive surgery to correct things from the first surgery so this has been hell on wheels since the get go.

They need help but that help would be 1. Not allowing parents to give in to these tendencies of these kids because generally they grow out of it, the ones that don't go on to regret the surgery etc later on and then there are the ones that i guess go on with it their entire lives until they end their lives, health issues which abound or someone kills them. Life expectancy of trans is shorter than the standard for US. 2. WAIT. Don't push them into things that goes for doctors, parents, teachers and activists. Leave these kids alone and stop making sex the main focus. 3. ALLOW treatment centers to help these folk....remember how conversion therapy has been outlawed...perhaps that might be an underlying factor in the suicide rates. 4. STOP pushing this on kids in schools. Once it starts you have a whole epidemic because kids love attention and crazy loves company.

Back to JAZZ. After the surgery, there was drama about having to go back in for more surgery...then there is the daily physical therapy that one must do that that is to insert something in the new opening and continue to manipulate it so it stays open. Jazz's may never be workable because of under development. He's gained loads of weight and the family had been fat shaming him/her. You gotta know this is very personal for the mom. JAZZ MUST be successful in this or else, the mother looks like the jerk she is. NOW, Jazz' brother are saying, one of them at least, is that he would date a trans woman, that be mtf trans. See...crazy loves company. She has messed up her family with this trans quest this woman has been on since this kid was a toddler.

I have no solution for any of this except to keep schools and the media out of it.  But so long as idiotic parents allow schools to interfere in their own kid's wellbeing and the media keeps hyping it up it will only bring more nutcases out of the woodwork.

Schools should stick to teaching the 3 r's and the media should stop hyping minority agendas but I don't see that happening because we've already let it go too far.

Exactly. The schools job is to TEACH and they're doing a damn poor job of that right now. WE are the parents. NOT THEM.
