As a golfer I am deeply interested in this topic.
This is now reaching the pointy end.
Applications for waivers must be lodged by 25.4.2022....
Only one player, Robert Garrigus has applied for a waiver from the US PGA
to play in Normans first event, although the article suggest more are expected...
I hope this gets off the ground...
It might take time...
Back in the day Norman refused to allow the PGA to use his name and intellectual property
to promote their US PGA Tour...he created the Greg Norman "Shark" logo and refused permission
for the PGA oligarchy to use it...
I hope Mickelson plays...the lure of the almighty dollar will influence many...
After all the players are self employed...to ban them from the PGA if they join
Normans gig is effectively restraint of trade....

Everyone I speak to on the golf course is in favour of what Norman
is doing...only the jealous wannabees are critics....
Besides...whats all the kerfuffle about ...numerous sports
are played in SA....F1..snooker...darts......boxing...WWE...even a EPL team
is partly owned by the saudis....(Newcastle)
All this because Norman poorly articulated....
Oh and lets not forget he may damage the PGA...
Funny that I dont see players being banned by the PGA
from playing in the British Open, or the Italian Open, the German
Open or the French Open....

I've read the whole thing's getting nasty.

Norman isnt making any friends due to his inability to
articulate about Jack Nicklaus...or the Saudis.....
(Nicklaus himself is being sued for $145 million due to
alleged breach of contract...the litigation is a totally different
matter...)
Anyone who has qualified to play in any of the majors
will probably play as the USPGA does not organize these events...
Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson for example will probably tee it
up next week in the US Open...the PGA cant ban them...
There has already been a press release confirming this...
I predict more golfers will join LIV Golf....
The PGA's control over players is crumbling...but no
US media source will say boo against the PGA...
What else would you expect from the media....
