Beans and Coffee!

Watching the afternoon westerns on MeTV( Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Rilfleman, Wagon train).
...Once upon a time when television was a bit more realistic and portrayed (fairly) accurate history.

I love most all beans except black beans. I eat them but never buy them. Love ALL types of good earthy peas.
Have to cook them until they make a sauce or bean gravy. Not just done.

I like a lot of meat in my beans! Andouille, smoked sausage, ham shanks, smoked pigtails, smoked pork neckbones, tasso, salt pork(pre-boiled a cupla times to rid the salt) , pickled pork, smoked deer sausage, fresh chicken or pork sausage, smoked turkey necks cut into 2-3"pieces. Any will do or any combo.

These days , I seldom eat beans over rice as it's only me.
But sometimes I'll cook a small pot of rice to "stretch" things.

i was never so surprised as of now, why everyone wanted to do in the " Mad Trapper of Rat River ". guy obviously wanted to be left alone, so they gotta fuck with him. poor guy. he had a condition i have in my lower back. at least he had pain pills. can you just imagine the dickweeds that thought it was cool to hound him to death.

betcha had he some beans n rice, he wouldve been a happier camper.
