Who was responsible for Eve's original sin?
What two principals would most want Eve's original sin to be explained away differently?
Eve and Satan, the two obviously guilty. All they needed to accomplish this was a chump, a scapegoat.
Indeed, this most profound incident of all time has been understood through millenia of tradition as Adam's fault, if not his doing, for reasons not given and unknown, and that is how it is incorrectly understood and accepted to this day.
Class dismissed.
What, if anything, does this mean to you?

Re: Who was responsible for Eve's original sin?
What many fail to realize is that Adam was right beside Eve when the forbidden fruit was taken and eaten. Both Adam and Eve attempted to hide from God and both were tossed out of the Garden.
"So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband WITH HER, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings." Genesis 6 - 8
Adam should have told his wife about the forbidden fruit but, didn't. Adam was just as sinful, just as guilty and just as accountable to God.

I'm thinking Jesus made wine. But not apple wine.

Leave it to jews to once again not finish a thought.
The fruit Eve actually ate has never been revealed. It probably wasn't an apple, however. For one thing, apples do not have any such myth of bedevilment attached to them. That's what I've read, anyway.
But consider the Elder Tree. Of course, there are other candidates.

Don't know, but ...
“Every time I’m in Georgia, I eat a peach for peace,” Alman Brothers' guitarist Duane Alman once said during the Vietnam war. It was thought that he "plucked" the expression from T.S. Eliot.

Got me to thinking about Sandy "Bluesky" Wabegijig.
