Explosion in my Bath

last night i had been asleep for a bit and suddenly around midnight,  a very loud explosion startled me awake.  I reached over and pushed the Captain to awaken him....how could he have slept through THAT??  what? he answers... DID YOU HEAR THAT!!  WHAT WAS THAT!!!   What?  he says.   Well...no help from that quarter.   LOUD explosion.  I thought someone had shot out the window or perhaps a wall of the house had caved in!!!  I turn on the light walk to his side of the bed and see nothing amiss.  SO i walk into the bathroom...and....my lotions and hair products are all on the floor with the door open.  I keep that door shut to keep out light from altering my lotions, meds etc.  But it was open and everything is on the floor...and the inside of the door and the walls of the closet are shiny.....and....WET!!  I;m thinking...what could possibly push all this off the shelf because it looks okay...and then i see it.   A hair spray bottle with a big hole in the side near the base of the can.  it exploded!!!   It left a small dent in my door...The door must have been slightly ajar. The Captain will carelessly not push it closed sometimes. I can't see the can exploding with such force that it could push the catch open.  I also have a couple other broken products that i have discarded.  Thank goodness no one was near that.  Looks like i'm making a special trip to the garage today to look for screw and bolt divided compartments.  

WHAT a mess.  I've done three shelves today.   I have to wipe down the shelf the wall and then my products on each shelf.   I've more shelves to do tomorrow. Took a couple hours just to do the three.

I don't think I have ever heard of that. Was it a factory filled bottle or did you fill it yourself? Any idea of the compounds included? If it was a factory filled aerosol container, you should immediately contact the manufacturer.

We used to throw hair spray cans in the fire and then hide behind a big tree and wait.

The explosion would make all the neighbors come out of their houses and call the cops. Lots of shrapnel from the can and lots of debris from the fire pile itself.

Most times it would explode with such force, it would put out the fire.

i know someone who had a cooking oil fire in the frying pan while 12" away the pam aresol was still just sitting like she had no fucking idea.

it was a factory filled aerosole that i got from Sallys and i just remembered that particular brand has been troubleome for me. Some of the ones i had previously purchased didn't work when i got them home...you know..like depress the button and nothing comes out.

I think i will avoid that brand from now on. Gray can, black writing.

Holy Moly....

Anything dusty will explode too. Even sugar and coffee creamer.
Remember that big explosion years ago at the sugar refinery down your way, Jebe?

haha. jirqo it sounded like war had broken out and MY MAN was still sleeping!!! I'm gonna put my OWN gun by the bed cause obviously he is NOT gonna wake up.

Was it serious enough to be a nut/bolt divider offense?
