God is speaking loud today in light of some interesting situations that I find myself in on an individual level but also on a country & worldwide scale.

Scripture tells us "In your anger, do not sin". Scripture also tells us that retribution is the Lord's. Anger whether righteous or not may be justified and human but, can lead to emotional actions that can have negative consequences. Righteous indignation may be justified at times but, who is righteous? Sinless? Pure?

What that scripture says to me is that humans WILL get angry. While we may get angry we also can do so without sinning.

Wise words. I am not nearly righteous enough for indignation. I don't think I'm even good enough for the intense sadness I feel for all of us... for the world... right now.

We need to somehow, in some way ......... stand strong. The battle is the Lord's. God leads us. Just make certain that it is God calling the shots .... not something else.

I liked this video. People assume that Christians are to be pacifists. There is a point where I defend myself and I am justified in doing so.

It is easy to get beaten down by the world. It is easy to let the narrative divert you from what the Lord intended. I try to keep my focus on God and what He wants for my life rather than what humans and the devil would rather I focus on. Reading and studying scripture helps as does memorization of certain affirming passages. I try to remember that a) I am a citizen of heaven, b) I am just passing through this fallen world, c) I am God's creation and owned by Him, d) I will live on after my body dies and e) I have eternity and the marriage supper of the Lamb to look forward to.
