Dog Stops Tornado From Forming

Dust devils are pretty harmless.

They form a lot out here, on hot, dry, August days in the sun. The basic action and formation is similar to tornadoes; but they're formed close to the ground, where the hotter soil warms the air close, and up twenty feet or so, it's cooler, away from the scorched earth.

With a tornado, it starts far up, with a cold air mass butting into a hotter air front. They start a dance, which becomes a rotation, which becomes a vortex, which becomes a tragedy.

I had a min pin years ago. He would always bark at trucks. My partner asked me why a dog would only bark at trucks. He was keeping trucks from driving right through the wall. My partner asked me why a little dog would think that barking would keep trucks from driving through the wall.

You don't see any trucks in here do you? It works. Or, we would be up to our earlobes in 18 wheelers.

Seriously, my brother is 5' 5" and ran a 40 yard dash in 4.5 seconds in college.  He played college and semi-pro soccer.  Being short isn't always a bad thing.
He took what God gave him and got a college scholarship with it.  He graduated in 4 years with a double major of Business and Education and is eligible to retire at age 51 right now.

I didn't have a scholarship for sure. Above average IQ but didn't even take a college  entrance exam until 2.5 years out of high school .

I went check dat out . I liked it.

I graduated from high school in the fall of 1978. I started college in the spring of 1981.
I was out of there by the fall of 83 with a four year degree cum laude.

If I knew what I know today, I'd still be there , instead of finishing in 3 years !

I know that there are among y'all that flat won't believe it buuuut I quit school at 12 years old. I felt that school was interfering with my education and I hated everyone anyway. When I wasn't fighting or with my biker boyfriend I mumbled my way through the library. .I took a College Level Educational Placement test. In one day I got college credits for a four year degree in English Literature and Classical History. That got me into law school. It wasn't the best law school but I could afford it by working part time as a dominatrix. That pays better than sex. 60 years later, here I am still kicking ass and being a disappointment to my family.
