the story you posted is so full of bravo and hyperboyle that if it inspired your " daring do " you just might be a little air headed. mainly, the bridge was crossed, washington wasnt at its " rail ", the brits never climbed over a wall of their dead, and half of the shooting took place before the brits ever saw said bridge. its just a ploy to make it sound like another Toombs with 220 men stopping Burnsides 10k. ( think about it, you realy think George allowed crowding around his horse? )

The post is a book revue.  Those who have read the book may have comments to add .. or not.   -shrug-

AND  maybe, someone who was actually present at the time might start a thread on what truly happened.

and maybe once we stop trying to rewrite history, the retarded can depend on the history books again. as John Plaster would say, " if just one part of the story is embellished, you can pretty much discount the entire thing." wikis version is closer to the truth. even though they have it way misconstrued. the storyline changed to inspire the masses to better their resolve. that last statement there. if thats not accounted for.................
