James Bond (sean Connery) has been retired a long time and is now dead. The series has been dead all that time and they didn't know it. A brief respite with Daniel Craig but that is over.

Sean Connery was a good James Bond.
I think Daniel Craig portrayed the Bond character very well.

'James Bond' is an authorised hitman. He is a flawed person. He is not a good guy/hero.
His job is probably not a permanent position. It's not a long term career. He won't retire at 63 with a comfortable pension.
