Bonnie & Clyde

My littermate St Bernards turned 8 in January.  It's been the most pleasant and enjoyable pet-owning experience.  

This week I received news that Bonnie has bone cancer so I'm needing to plan to let her go in peace before she's in too much pain.  

This is never easy; it always sucks. But damn it anyway.  

She's been a crazy handful that I wouldn't have traded for anything.  

i am so sorry to hear of your loss. i had a horse who had cancer. she was dealing with it until i got suckered into changing her diet. be strong

It's always hard to lose our animal friends. I've had some that were more family to me than family. Poor Clyde, too.

I'll be watching Clyde extra close, trying to comfort him as best I can (and that he'll let me). He's a total sweetheart too.

That's so sad to hear and I'm so sorry for you all

I hate to hear this.  I had a boxer that I was very attached to.  I cried like a baby when he died.  He started having seizures and less than 2 weeks later, he died.  He liked to catch rabbits in our back yard.  He was still doing it at 9 years of age.  He could almost catch whippets at the dog park. The only person he ever growled at was a former neighbor from 50 yards away. That neighbor I found out was living off of slip and fall lawsuits, had 17 arrests for assault and possession of drugs with intent to sell, put 2 ex wives in the hospital and has changed his name 4 times. He was spying on neighbors and causing property line disputes and he was very abusive to his wife. Californians. He was bad news and Rowdy knew it. 18 of my neighbors testified against him in a civil suit and he is no longer allowed in our neighborhood. That was 15 years ago.

It's crazy what unconditional love from a dog can do to you...

And it's awesome that they are able to see through people's masks better than we can.

I'm so sorry. I had a Shepherd  a few years ago that developed  bone cancer.

I don't  know why  we put ourselves  through  this, I always  say, " Never again,  no more dogs"  then go and get another.

Your dogs are beautiful.
