I don’t know how your family is, but compared to what I am seeing online, mine is really sane. After reading all these stories online, I’m realizing that a lot of families are not “sane.” There’s a lot of dysfunction going on, thanks to politics, which has ripped this country in two, and also thanks to COVID, which has been like a nuclear bomb that flattened the country – and I am not even talking about the deaths right now – I am talking about “fear porn,” paranoia, mandates, and censorship.

The media have driven a lot of young, healthy people completely and totally insane over a virus that has little to no effect on them. And It’s really sad and concerning to see.

And a perfect example of this “fear porn” attitude comes from a young lady from Michigan by the name of Cassandra Basler, who shared a story on Twitter about her family and their Christmas gathering.

According to her bio, Cassandra is a writer and editor and has written for NPR and other publications.

Cassandra had plans with her family for Christmas, and because of her fear of Omicron, she suggested everyone take a “rapid at-home COVID test” before they met, to make sure nobody was sick.

Keep in mind, Omicron is a variant that has little-to-no symptoms, and only one person in the entire world has died with the variant at the time of this publishing.

Well, this idea didn’t go over very well with her family, and because of Cassandra’s suggestion, she got promptly uninvited from the Christmas festivities.

I gotta admit, Cassandra’s family sounds awesome, don’t they?

Here’s what Cassandra tweeted: “How politicized is omicron in Michigan? I asked my family if we could all take at-home rapid tests before visiting indoors on Christmas. Then I was simply *uninvited*”

Here are some comments from folks online:

“Your family sounds awesome! You, on the other hand, well…”

“Your family will have a much better time without you there.”

“Your family sounds awesome. Idk how that makes it political though. Seems like they wanted a Merry Christmas by uninviting the psycho crazy person.”

“I get the feeling you were uninvited cause you’re annoying as f**k rather than anything to do with this”

“Good. You sound like an extremely tedious person to be around.”

“it doesn’t sound like they’re the ones that are politicized lmao”

“I’m not sure what these hypochondriacs blamed all their fears, panic and worry on before covid came along but it’s clear, these people will never join the rest of us in reality. They’re done living their life.”

“you’re family are better people than you and by attempting to shame them you’ve only shamed yourself. mashallah”

“your family sounds cool”

“i’m sure they were looking for any excuse to disinvite your annoying ass, cheers”

“These people are addicted to COVID”

“That’s not a Michigan thing. That’s a you problem. Did you learn anything from this?”

“I don’t even know them but I love this person’s family.”

****FOLLOW US ON TELEGRAM***

I am having a house full of people for Christmas.

I don’t know their vaccine status, and they don’t know mine, and I can guarantee you the topic of COVID will not come up one time.

We’ll be celebrating Christmas, watching movies, and enjoying each other’s company… like a normal and sane family. COVID is the absolute last thing we’ll talk about.
