So, has everyone put up their tree, finished decorating, strung the lights, hung their stockings and finished their Christmas shopping?

WAY too early. Even for us, and we're celebrating on Dec. 14th.
The gift shopping is done, but the deep cleaning will be done by the 10th or 11th, and decorating, the following day.
We don't go gah-gah anymore, so that's very do-able for us. But even if we did, the timing would be about the same. No one can see our home from the street, or I'd likely do it earlier.

Nevertheless, fwiw, I'm on pins and needles w/hopes that I got it right.

I'm sure you'll get it right, 2.   I've been thinking about dragging the tree out of the garage but, so far, I haven't Lol. I'm not going to bother with outdoor lights this year but I do love them.

All my shopping is done except for a couple of things I still need to get.

I've been fiddling around with some decorations for Haven so maybe that will put me in the mood.

I ought to know what Haven is, but don't.  Surely have heard of it.  Remind me?

As far as pulling out the Christmas tree goes, check this out.  My (retired) husband was a drywall contractor.  We live not so far from a tourist trap. IOW, wealthy people.  One built this house with an extra room off the "Great Room," (what normal people refer to as the living room), just for the Christmas tree, and all the decoration.  They'd just roll the 24' decorated tree into that "closet," along with all the decorations for the entire house.

Yeah; a house so large that no one would notice something like a 15x15 ft "closet" off to the side of one of the rooms.  (I exaggerate some on the size, but you get the drift.)

The decorations you've chosen thus far are marvelous. santa

I have horrified and scandalized my son and daughter in law.

See they have plans. They are spending Christmas with " family'. It's just not my family. It's her family. I am supposed to stay here, me and the cats.

I am not staying alone with the cats.

I am going on a Christmas Day MOTORCYCLE RIDE. Now. How cool is that?
