How To Clear Out Your Notifications

Just a reminder because they really mount up.

See all notifications (at the bottom of the Notifications box)  >  (Scroll down) Mark all   >   Delete all.

Happy to do so, but why would I?  I mean, as in, what is the purpose?  Do they take up a lot of bandwidth unnecessarily, or somethin'?

Yes, there must be many 1000's

They don't take up much bandwidth but I imagine they would clog up your cache and slow things down if they get too abundant.

It's not necessary, I just think it's advisable so that the site runs more smoothly for individual members.  It won't impact anyone else but it will probably keep things moving more smoothly for you.

Sometimes I get notifications of 'likes' that aren't there and postings that aren't there.   Then I think "ooops" and go and clear them all because there can be dozens and dozens of pages of them as they mount up quickly.
