Give me standard time, all the time!
Get up early. Get it done.

Get dark early. More time to relax and rest.

Prolly not the best for 9-5 workers.

I went to bed "later" knowing we had an extra hour.

Trouble is, I ALWAYS wake up four hours in. Most times I can get another 2-3 hours of sleep.

Not this time. I was up at 0730 MDT, like I always am...less than 5 hours of sleep.

I could have taken something to make me sleepy, but not half an hour before sunrise...

I wish we would leave the clock alone. A lot of parents like the daylight for kids waiting for the school bus in the morning.

That's one advantage of standard time.

The bad thing is, if you work a 12hr day or even a 10 hour day and have to travel one hour before and one hour after work( example: work 6am-6pm/leave home at 5am, return at 7pm) , you leave in the dark and return in the dark.

Why should people even CARE about what time the sun sets, vis-a-vis the time on the clock?

It's summer. Sun comes up at 0430...okay, get up early and work before the heat drives you inside! You just have to get up earlier, that's all - good grief, we used to do that all the time on the golf course! July was when a number of tournaments and events were scheduled, so we'd be at work at 0300 and start our day's mowing (tees and greens need daily mowing) at 0400. Later in the month we'd have to use headlights the first half-hour, but that was fine. Work 0400 to 0900, when the golfer-competitors finished their before-game breakfast...and we were done for the day, except to water the course after 7pm.

And if you had to go to bed at 8, with the sun high, to make your 0400 start time, so be it. Many were the evenings I would go to bed with a fan blowing over me - no A/C, with a black cloth over my eyes. It was part of the job

This monkeying with the clock, is beyond irritating. Easier just to change report times at businesses that care about these things.

And, in this day and age, no - tevee schedules and times don't really matter, now.
