No, you're right, and I think it's illegal to have your dog running loose.

I've seen a small pack of unleashed dogs run down deer within sight of the likely residence of one of the dogs, and the dogs did not win me over. They became wolves again in that chase. I happened to be hunting, and they made me angry.

That isn't to judge them. They are what they are -- both primal hunters and your best buddies, depending on circumstances.

I could easily imagine that.
I have seen dogs in a pack, it is a scary sight. They are totally different in a pack

@HawkTheSlayer

Right.
I have seen some hyaenas in a zoo (far different when behind bars), I was surprised how big they were..
Bigger than a big dog and very muscular chest, neck, front legs.
Looked like it had been on steroids.

@Crusader
Oh, animals are always 'different' when in the wild.
That's a LONG way it moved in a short time.
Was it amazing or scary ?

I was driving and it crossed the highway 100 meters in front of me. It wasn't quite as big as my niece's Great Dane, but pretty close. It was moving much faster than the Great Dane could move.

Feeding 70 wolves on Xmas day, 2016:

I posted this a couple years ago on another board, and completely ignored an important observation when I posted it that shows up on this thread pretty well:

Why aren't those wolves wagging their tails at either the arrival of food or at seeing people they certainly know?

I don't know. Wolves.Wolves. Wolves. - Page 3 809917594

What would that say about their relationship to dogs, which do wag their tails?

Are there dogs that don't wag their tails?

Well, I know some dogs don't wag or rarely wag, but there are not many.
