Morrison is the pm...he leads the federal liberal/national party (loosely called the
coalition) Albanese leads the federal labor party (currently in opposition) 
Berejiklian is the...was the premier of NSW she represents the state
arm of the same party...(coalition)
Andrews is the Victorian premier...he leads the state arm of the labor
party...
McGowan and Palaszczuk lead the state (WA and Qld) arms of the
labor party...
In each state the opposition party is pretty much in tatters...
Other minor parties exist such as the Greens/One Nation/United
Australia Party...and various independents...they will never govern
in their own right...
In a nutshell Morrison runs (attempts to run) the country but
simply allows the premiers to do as they please...
Needless to say the labor states make it as hard as possible for
the feds...particularly when theres an election coming up...
rumored to be in May, 2022...
Each state, if the truth be known, is probably bankrupt...

The Prime Minister can be toppled too.   His party (Conservatives) can vote on a leadership spill and if whoever challenges him wins then they take over the role of Prime Minister.

This would be a far better thing to happen than to lose the next election to the woke left (Labor/ ALP) who are embarrassingly woke and appalling and controlled by the Greens who are even more woke and appalling.

Coalition = Conservatives/Liberals.

I'll try to put something together that is easy to understand lol.

Australia has 6 States and 10 internal and external Territories.  To keep it simple as you'd see it divided on a map let's say it has 6 States and 1 Territory on the mainland.   Tasmania is an island to the south but is still a State.

I'm excluding the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) for now.  It's traditionally a leftist stronghold and kinda like DC for want of a better explanation.

Queensland  -  Labor Party Premier (Leftist)
Victoria  -  Labor Party Premier (Leftist)
South Australia  -  Liberal Party Premier (Conservative)
