Marx didn't care about peoples' welfare?   He cared about sending the world into utter chaos.   He would love what's going on right now.

He was a misfit. He attracts misfits. One of his contemporary friends said that you cannot be his friend unless you worshipped him. He hated God, He hated people. He was a satanist.

I suspect, alcoholism happened. He was a drunk; he started somewhere; most drinkers I know or know of, started young.
