Nicolas Cages spending
........... "Levin advised Coppola against buying a Gulfstream jet, against buying and owning a flotilla of yachts, against buying and owning a squadron of Rolls Royces, against buying millions of dollars in jewellery and art," the filing said, according to CNN.
He shared that one of Cage's shopping sprees "entailed the purchase of three additional residences at a total cost of more than $33 million; the purchase of 22 automobiles (including 9 Rolls Royces); 12 purchases of expensive jewellery; and 47 purchases of artwork and exotic items." .......................

He's had a string of NOT GOOD movies. Saw video of him drunk at some bar restaurant the last week being thrown out.

The National Treasures were good. USS Indianapolis was an embarrassment to camera operators and model makers. "The Bedford Incident" had better scenes.

That was Kevin Costner, whom I like. Call me shallow but I just don't like Nicolas Cage's looks and avoid his movies. There's something creepy about him.

Waterworld was one of the most expensive flops in its day, It may still hold the record if adjusted for inflation

Mmm ... I believe that dubious distinction might be held by a film called "Heaven's Gate" directed by Michael Cimino about 1980. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Cimino
A Western filmed near Glacier Park in Montana notwithstanding, the great cast in this spectacular setting evidently didn't save it from tanking at the box office.
Director Cimino was a brilliant rising star in Hollywood who died, as I read it, from undisclosed circumstances.
I haven't seen it, so I think I'll watch it tonight.
