Malwarebyte upgrade? Empty Malwarebyte upgrade?

Microsoft just screwed over my email.  My old email is GONE.  I NEED it, but have no idea how to get to it.  I had to make up a new email addy, and the whole format/layout/navigation - STINKS.

Right now, Malwarebytes is offering me a free update.  Should I go for it?  I don't trust this crap for anything.  Thinking hard on switching to Linux.

I made my living in computers and software but, I would never call myself an "expert". First off, no I would not trust ANYTHING on the Internet/Computers/Software/etc. Secondly, nothing is ever "free", there is ALWAYS a price whether you see it or not. Last but not least, I would delete my cache and run multiple virus scans on your system before I would trust it.

Other operating systems are only "safer" depending upon what you do and where you go. As my Father used to say, there is a thief born every minute.
