minneapolis votes tomorrow on whether to replace police with social workers
I SO hope they go with the social workers. I'd love to watch this play out.

I think a LOT of 'crimes' would have a better outcome if they were viewed differently.
The legal penal system has failed for generations.
The reason I say this is because there are more crimes and prisoners now than there were 5 years ago.
If the system was successful there would be fewer prisoners and crimes.

That's because the system, which is mainly overseen by leftist degenerates, all too often locks up people for petty crimes which then turns them into criminals whilst giving the violent offenders a light pass.

Muslims. Sooo hope they go with social workers. Police departments mostly protect the criminal. Private security and vigilantes is all we need.

They don't vote tomorrow; they vote in Nov. What needs to be ready by tomorrow, is the ballot measure; the wording/signatures, etc., all in order.
What some people want is for the City Council to be in charge of the police dept., rather than the mayor's office having all the power. But hey, not even Yes 4 Minneapolis is wanting to disband the cop shop entirely; they just want a different arrangement for who's in charge of things.
From what I read, no specific laws change; just who's in charge of enforcing them.
At this point, I understand the mayor's comments entirely.
*Oh yeah. ECB brought up something I'd forgotten - the high population of Muslims in Minneapolis. That ought to make for some REAL interesting "residential input" for crimes committed.

And he's right. It'd create confusion, and a wormhole for all who'd prefer not to be held accountable a means by which to escape."My primary reason for opposing this charter amendment comes down to accountability," Frey said in a statement. "If passed, this proposal will dilute accountability by diffusing responsibility for public safety across 14 policymakers.”

Yeah, I can see it all now! "911, There's an armed criminal that has broken into my house! Please send help!" and the 911 operator responds, "We'll send a Social Worker right out!"...
I wonder who is gonna get shot first, the people who live in the house? The "Social Worker" or a neighbor?
Hey, maybe the "Social Worker" could figure out how "unequal" the perp has been treated their whole life and help them take stuff from the victim to "even things out"!

The homeowner will probably shoot the social worker.......because they'll be going into a situation they have no idea how to handle........unarmed, against an armed intruder........yeah, I see lots of social workers getting shot, possibly mistaken for the intruders.
