And i'm not talking about stupid judicial mistakes or minor players...  I'm talking where the cases were big enough and bold enough that it caused people to think in terms of evading punishment for crimes of murder to be exact.

Ted Kennedy for all practical purposes kills mary jo Kopechne in 1969

Ethel Kennedy's nephew kills Martha Moxley in 1975.

Just thinking..

There's always been connected people who walk away.

"Lizzie Borden took an axe

Gave her father 30 whacks.

When she saw what she had done

Gave her mother 41."

She was never charged - and was handled with kid gloves in the inquest. Even though it was open-and-shut parenticide.

There are thousands of cases. What has changed today is the NUMBER of them, the FLAGRANCE of it. We have never had so many idle, connected rich...EVER.

We had the rich; and the rich usually worked hard. Henry Ford, right up to his last years, senile, was in the labs with his engineers. His books were a mess; he was brutal with son Edsel and the accounting staff; but he was working.

NOT like Jeffy Bozos.

What changed THERE was, the WAY to get rich. Ford, and Edison, and Carnegie...some had connections, some not (Ford had War Department connections that got him a contract to build planes and jeeps; Carnegie had cultivated connections with the railroad he worked for, to have a market for his steel...as rails) but they all worked.

Today, you make money by government contract, protection, by drop-shipping Chinese crap or sucking up metadata to sell as advertising information. You believe you're untouchable, and generally that's true...look at Zuck and Jackass Dorsey. And those zombies running gurgle.
