Well, yeah, it actually was kinda funny, 'cuz there I was hitching from Denver to San Diego; this trucker picks us up - this guy and I who were traveling together - somewhere in Arizona, IRRC.  We by-passed the Grand Canyon, and some time after that, the driver decided I needed to learn how to drive this rig.  I had a blast!  The 'driving lesson' didn't last long, but it sure was one more experience to tuck under my belt at 21, foot loose and fancy free.
