Fourth Grade Students In Minnesota Are Told To Hide ‘Equity Survey’ Questions From Their Parents

A fourth grade student from Minnesota has revealed that her class was given an “equity survey” and then told not to tell their parents about it.

Fourth grader Hayley Yasgar and her mother went on Fox News on Monday morning to say that the questions on the survey were confusing and it made her “very nervous and uncomfortable” when the students were told not to tell their parents.

When students didn’t understand some of the questions, teachers with the Sartell-St. Stephen School District reportedly told them not repeat the survey questions to their parents.

Kelsey Yasgar, Hayley’s mom, claimed that although parents were “informed that the equity audit was taking place, they were not informed on the date of the activity and not given other details.”

She added that due to the lack of transparency from the school district and from Equity Alliance Minnesota, the third party that administered the survey, parents were not notified about the questions being asked to the students.

Kelsey went on to say that she was “very upset” when her daughter told her that her class had been told not to tell their parents about the questions.

“I do want to say though I believe that this wasn’t a single case that her teacher made this decision,” Hayley said.

“We had been informed that this came down from the administration and Equity Alliance of Minnesota instructed them to make sure the children did not share this information with their parents and that should pose a great concern in any parents’ eyes,” the child added.

Same thing applies to queer sex ed.

Why are they having 4th graders take this survey, it's got absolutely nothing to do with schoolwork.

ALL the parents should be fuming over this.

I'd like to read the questions. 4th grade is too young to even understand this but that's the whole point of it. Indoctrination.

Children need to be taught tolerance toward minorities of all types, but not that these minorities are some how more important than their own cultural identities

I'd be screaming mad if I was one of the parents. I wouldn't have my kids in a school teaching along those lines though.

I suppose to some degree, kids are held to whatever it is they "learned" through indoctrination, whether they understood it or not.
