She's afraid to move back to Kalifornia.

Honest to God. People at that point in life...should be glad they HAVE life, and just figure out what's important, and do it, and experience it. Family, grandchildren, etc. She's got all the money she needs, and a pension out of CONgress. She doesn't need the job; she would be happier out of the job; her stamina is no-doubt decreasing.

Two things I blame here: First, they're creatures of rote habit. They don't know anything BUT to pander and promise and then spend to buy votes with Other People's Money. They have no other life.

Second, I blame the staffers. The Wicked Witch of the Bay melts...they have nothing. Right now I'll bet they're doing one-hundred-percent of her work. Decisions; short position papers and Talking Points; instructions on how to vote, when to vote, reminders to change the Depends.

When she's gone they're back to being nobodies.

Her mental acuity started declining decades ago. She's almost 88 and should not be in charge of how to spend other people's money. Her own? Of course. Her constituents? Hell no!

This stuff, (below), has become so common place that you wonder if it's worth mentioning anymore.

Likely unnecessary to point out the glaring omission of qualifications.
But at least he made an ass out of him in the process, and had to walk it back, after he heard from Diane.

I wonder how frosty that conversation went.  lol

This part was especially sad commentary, though:

How sorry is that? 

Newsom is apparently on his way out? He should be!

Even though I think octogenarians should retire from politics ... Feinstein sure has a lot more brain matter than that invisible tub of mush in the WH and she has 10 years on him too.
