They aren't even hiding it any more. Our government is spying on our social media posts and flagging anything that disagrees with the party line as disinformation. Just like the Steele Dossier, Russian collusion, hydrochloriquine usefulness, the Wuhan Lab leak theory, and "mostly peaceful" black life matters riots, were supported and any opposing views were sensored. Our free speech is almost gone. The media is almost entirely a mouthpiece for the DNC and blue states are dragging us down to insolvency and maybe Civil War 2.
