At first I thought they were walking in shallow water. Hence the ripples and reflection. But the angle of the sun is not right to correspond to the darkness of the "horses" compared to other animals.
Anyhow, I'm done with it.

well i had to pracally stand up over the computer and look down but I SEE IT.

SO...the dark stuff we're seeing is the shadow. If you look just in front of the shadow, a very faint striped something or other is THE ZEBRA!!!

That's awesome  how they do that.



@2cent do you see it now.  If you focus on the shadow, that's what the dark image is...you miss the actual animal just in front of it.  And it's hard to see because in black and white, it's hard to distinguish the white stripes from the sand or water...whatever it is they are walking on.

if you move closer and above the photo as if you're looking DOWN on the scene you can make out the backs of the actual critter.

This reminds me of something else from the 90s.
