Actually, foreign contributions are legal, so long as there is ZERO compensation for the contribution.

Frankly, that law needs a short review, and kicked to the curb.

It's not just the UK. Globalists from all over the world control our elections/candidates. There's nothing American or wholesome about it anymore. It's a big, Satanic joke.
