Public school education has been terrible here for a long time. Back in the 70s, the Superintendent of Public Schools and later the school board President(member) sent his kids to Catholic school. As did almost all public school teachers.

His daughter was my first serious girlfriend. She was a dark haired, dark-eyed Italian and very intelligent.

Public schools are just another power structure designed to grift off the taxpayers, like law enforcement. Only an idiot would send their children to one of them.

There are so.e good public schools out there, but not in big cities.

I'm sure that's what a lot of parents say when they enroll their children into kindergarten at the same schools they went to. Give it five or six years, and they'll be in for a rude awakening.

They "demand lower standards"? The "standards" if any, are so low NOW that to make them any lower would mean that there are basically NO standards at all! No wonder people are choosing to home school or private school their kids!
