RFK Jr.'s Possible VP Picks Empty RFK Jr.'s Possible VP Picks

Nah, not hard Left-leaning at all.

After previously thinking NY Jets quarterback Aaron Rogers might be the right person to be a heartbeat away from the presidency, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr is now planning to select 38-year-old Nicole Shanahan, the wealthy ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, as his running mate. This according to a Saturday Mediaite report that cited "a source close to the campaign."

Shanahan is a Bay Area lawyer and tech entrepreneur who's been a Democratic Party benefactor and donated to Biden's 2020 campaign. In a February Times profile, she described herself as a "progressive through and through." Aside from opening her wallet, she has no political profile whatsoever, seemingly not even having spoken out or written about issues of the day.

To add to that possibility...
Last week, the New York Times reported that, in addition to the NFL's Rogers, Kennedy was considering former Minnesota Gov and Predator co-star Jesse Ventura,

Ya can't blame RFK for keeping other 'possibles' in the wings, as things might not be as rosy with Shanahan as one might hope. As in...
This leak doesn't exactly sound like a coordinated trial balloon, as a source close to the campaign proceeded to throw Shanahan under the bus:

“She might be infusing millions of dollars into the campaign to help fund the ballot initiative, which makes her attractive financially; however, she lacks the qualifications to actually do the job."

Shanahan helped bankroll Kennedy's Super Bowl ad, giving $4 million to the American Values 2024 PAC that's supporting him. That represented a major change of heart: When Kennedy announced last fall that he was bailing on the urigged Democratic nomination process, Shanahan was "incredibly disappointed" and, at the time, decided not to back him, despite having given him a $6,000 maximum contribution in May, while he was trying to dislodge Biden
It does all sound just a little ...complicated, no?

I think from now on, every VP pick (regardless of party) will be a woman. Or, if they're not a woman, they're a non-white, maybe even an immigrant if it's permitted. The days of two white men running on the same ticket are over.

I'm not thrilled with the idea of Kennedy possibly choosing a woman with ties to the Marxist elites. Of course, I still haven't decided if I'm going to vote for him. Under no circumstances will I vote for Trump or Biden, but if I do vote for Kennedy, it will only be to give the two-party system the proverbial middle finger, not because I actually think he could win or even do a good job as president.

I wouldn't even consider voting for the spoiled little Kennedy - but there are some that are "hero worshippers " that think something from his elitist family will rub off on him . The guys an asshole .

Does his pick for VP really matter? He won't be elected and he'll never see the Oval office unless of course he takes a civilian tour...

Yes, it matters. In this case especially, as it exposes RFK for who he really is.

He moved further left.   There's a saying.  A dog always returns to its vomit.

Seems like all the candidates are going further left to one degree or another. It's probably the only way they can appeal to most people. Even if voters know most left-wing policies are a disaster, they still would rather have that than go "conservative". They let their pride get in the way, not to mention their desire to stay trendy and modern.

Of course, that's not to suggest "conservatism" is any kind of winning formula, either. Look around you; who would want to conserve any of this?

Honestly, I don't think this country can be saved through the political process. Our problems run deeper than any of that.

I'm sitting this one out. I have a strong feeling we're going to get screwed no matter who "wins".
