Mini Muffinlattos

Lol. I had something on my mind all day. A real muffellato like they make at Central Grocery in The French Quarter.

But i have no idea where i would find a muffelleto bread/huge bun around here. Plus, i didn't have any italian olive mix.

I had some expensive ham, genoa salami, smoked provolone, and some dressing mix i make from scratch. Muffuletto is all about the oil, usually a liberal drizzle of olive oil.


I toasted some English muffin halves, drizzled both halves with dressing mix.
Then added shredded jack cheese, a slice of provolone, ham, salami, and roma tomatoes.
Then 25 seconds in the microwave.

They were fat little muffinlottas. Lol. And very good with that oil.

Tonnerre et e'clair! Mais ca c'est bon, ouais!

I didnt think about taking pics. My ponce was empty.

If anyone wants the homemade dressing mix recipe, just give the word .
I'll type it out.

They are huge, Red! One can feed 4 people.

And so good with the mix. I love the broccoli and cauliflower florets in the mix.

That crushed olive mix is available at Costco . You can get 2 large jars for about $10 . Its a staple when you make any kind of sammich and its addictive . You just reminded me that I need to get 2 more .

I make those but use the smaller hard rolls and they are good. Out of muffletta but i put olives on it and then italian dressing. tomatoes lettuce, swiss chicken or roast beast.
