Apparent there are millions of illegals swarming into the USA, I assume many die on the way there and the criminals make money off many of them.
To me, that is a failure.

A 'Push' factor is what drives them from their homelands. Wars, poverty, drug cartels. Covid had a big effect.
'Pull' factors is what draws them to that location - a safer, better lifestyle.

The "push" factor is them seeing an easy meal ticket. The "pull" factor is them wanting the handouts Biden is giving out.

Much like the ones who pass 20 countries to get to Australia (mainly all young males) and ditch their papers along the way. If they wanted true asylum they wouldn't keep passing countries who would take them in nor would they destroy their papers. People in border towns are being terrorized by these people swarming their properties and there have been many incidents of rapes and murder committed by these illegals. Kids are being trafficked into prostitution by the cartels who think this is Christmas for them.

Yes, the economic factors has a lot to do with covid. That was probably the instigator of many push factors.
That was the inflation spike, low supply in many goods. It would have hit poor countries worse than richer ones, much worse.
All those people were used to what they had before this surge, something changed to push them from their homes.
