if you want great waffles, they sellem in wallyworld for $6.88 an entire box full. you pull them directly out of your freezer, take it outta the bag, set you toaster to ultra light, pop two in, after they pop up once, reverse the two, and once they pop agn, youll have TWO waffles that far exceed anything ever sold on some bimbo type resturaunt. i went into wafflehouse once about 25 years ago, and they tried to sell me one for $5.25. ive never eaten in a wafflehouse, and i never will. the nog family was just looking for an excuse to act like apes that fell outta the tree.

I liked waffle house. Matter of fact for a few years, the Captain and i made a point in eating there every morning before he went to work.  I had the dogs in the car.  Daisy and Dudley (black cocker and red cocker) and they knew i always brought then out a piece of sausage or bacon and maybe a bit of waffle.  Wow...those were great days with those two pups.

 The girls that always waited on us...Brenda and nancy became friends.   Brenda quit and started working for us doing my yardwork and landscaping.   The Nancy, attractive exercise health nut, died a week after being diagnosed with cancer. Then Brenda was diagnosed with lung cancer but she made it for a few years still working for us until she couldn't.    It wasn't till after those girls were gone that we realized that waffle house was not waffle house without them.  THEY made our breakfasts perfect.   They were the waffle house experience.   I've only been back a couple times.  Not the same.

I miss those girls. I miss my pups.

im sorry you lost some great freinds. i could never see blowing $20 every morning on a bitefull of food for two people. im also sad you could only afford to " splurge " without having much money. i believe your two girl freinds also did remodling inside to wafflehouse. most have asbestos insulation. shit, just yesterday i had to work around that crap and the house was built in 2005. i did not mean to trample on found memories. never ever my intent. dont ever quit trying to be freindly. even ifn my tomohawk sails past your head.
