I guess that's how things are discussed from where you are - START with a CONCLUSION, and cherry-pick factoids to suit.

Here's a news flash: Jobs are lost. Good times and bad, jobs are lost. Every damn year, EVER.

Businesses have a life. Where is US Steel, today? Where is the Remington Typewriter Company? Where is Western Electric, who used to make all the phones for the Bell System?

Where are TELEPHONE OPERATORS? Every ONE who still had a job when the remnants of the Bell System pulled the plug...lost their job. When I was driving a cab in 1983, we had a contract with Ohio Bell to cab many of the operators who got off at midnight, home. They were mostly young women - the older women worked days. Little more than teenagers.

Younger than me; and each one got a pink slip in her pay envelope at some time. Ohio Bell Telephone Company is gone, too.

The test is, are MORE jobs...CREATED than lost. The answer, four years ago, was, YES. Before the Covidians latched on that brilliant plan to just shut down all of society for an indefinite timeframe.

Democrats manufactured covid just for the purpose of blaming Trump.

Fact is trump was in charge then, he mishandled covid, many 100,000's of Americans died because of his poor decision making.
When that many people die, the economy will take a hit.

Under Trump the US was one of the worst affected countries in the world, it should have been one of the best.
He underperformed, he lied, people lost their lives due to him.

I do know that Trump started of the vaccination mass production by his Operation Warp Speed.
One of his good ideas. Very sensible, a pandemic was upon us. Time was of the essence.

I also know later on he stood up and said "The doctors are recommending to wear masks but we won't enforce it. I am not going to wear a mask so you draw your own conclusions. "
He repeatedly said there is nothing to worry about and it is not so bad.
Masks were not worn, vaccination rate not high enough. The US has a very bad covid experience. Over a million deaths.
Your economy dived also, due to all the unnecessary deaths, Trumps irresponsible behaviour, mishandling and lack of honesty during a pandemic.
Other countries that followed normal reasonable standard procedure during a pandemic were not where near as badly affected.

That is what I know.
