New Jersey plastic consumption triples after plastic bag ban

I'll tell ya what else is going to happen...an increase in illness, hospitalizations, Those bags are disposable or for me reusable one more time i get double use sometimes out of them. Reusing the same cloth bags or carryalls...they'll get diry and bacteria laden and people will start getting sick. It's happened before.

Ever heard of washing cloth bags? Problem solved.
Plastic is toxic in both the manufacturing, consumption and usage of it and using a plastic bag just twice does not in any way change that and is nothing to brag about. It promotes toxicity. Try limiting the amount of plastic you buy and using plastic bags many multiple times if you absolutely have to have them.
Chemicals and toxins leach out of plastic drinking bottles and over time carcinogenic substances build up in the bloodstream.
Plastic is NOT a good thing.

I recall when plastic bags were the perfect answer to Eco-warriors plaints.
Now the panacea is the problem.

Um.
We grew up using paper bags.
We even delivered groceries to customers that had no vehicles and packed them( the groceries/ not the people ) in empty cardboard boxes we reused after stocking the product that came in them.

That's 'eco warriors' for you....lefties (demosocialists) who can never think past the ends of their noses.
Those grocery paper bag were recyclable..and so are the plastic bags. As i said, people used the cloth bags, fail to recognize the need to launder them periodically and then finally someone gets sick from it. Same with laundry baskets...does anyone ever think to disinfect those??

Not only plastic bags.
Plastic was the perfect answer for all containers i.e. bottles, cans, boxes, tubes, automobiles, and clothing.
No future thought put into that at all; much akin to the EV development of today.
Very short sighted.
The CO2 danger farce is the manufactured catastrophe of the day.
People don't know the difference between CO and CO2; The legitimate concern about CO is carried over to trace amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere. The confusion grows exponentially to "we're all gonna' die !"; when actually, without CO2 we would all die.
