Platform shoes just keep coming back and back. I used to be able to dance and run in those things.

Male perms lol. I got a perm once and it looked like I was wearing a cap that I should take off and hang on a hook.

The early 70s I spent my leisure time going to every Northern Soul venue that I could afford, my weekend early morning job was compressed air cleaning bread slicing machines at the sunblest bakery a stones throw away from where my parents council house. £9.50. The wages to me was considered a fortune.
Even on a school night on Wednesdays I had to catch 3 busses to a soul dancing club...then start walk back cos we missed the last bus
