I think any who attempt or do steal a vehicle should be summarily dealt with.

Would I do it? Probably not; but I will not consider lesser those who do.

That's a gray area in Texas law. Deadly force to protect property is allowed in some circumstance. I don't know about this situation, but I have no sympathy for thieves.
