My understanding is that Israel is targetting Hezbollah in Syria. I've heard nothing to support the claim that Syria has been bombing Israel.

If you claim Syria has been bombing Israel it's up to you to prove it.

As long as Israel are hitting Russian targets in Syria, they wouldn't chance their arm , last thing they need is a war with Israel backed by the US and its allies

Its more about intent than purpose ,you have to drop a bomb , anyone can fire a missile , like Lebanon , Hizballah are firing missiles from the region, the Lebanese military are not bombing Israel, and as a result Israel has not targeted the Lebanese military
