He is facing 25 years and up to $750,000 fine, possessing a gun while a drug user.
The judge is showing him no favouritism, as it has to be.

From what I read he was pretty respectful to the Judge. He is in real trouble.
He tried for a plea deal, the judge said no.
He tried for a 'virtual' court appearance, the judge said no.

I've been in courts twice and it is the Judges world.
The Judge is addressed as 'Your Honour' . It's pretty scary, he can have you locked up.
It is not the place to be flippant.
